Center for the Study of Eastern Indonesia is one of the most multidisciplinary research institutions active in the institution. This study centers memokuskan on activities in the region that includes eastern Indonesia, namely: Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua, Nusa Tenggara.
Vision, Mission and Objectives
Vision
Being a supporting institution building process in Eastern Indonesia, which is known through the works of research and development through initiating and fundamental questions of development in eastern Indonesia.
Mission
Build and develop the knowledge asset Eastern Indonesia.
Objectives
Encourage the development of eastern Indonesia through:
- Development of strategic studies (research, studies, discussions and so forth) and the fundamentals that provide valid input (historically and contextually) to direct the development policies and interventions.
- Identify and ensure the use of elements of local knowledge (competence, capacity and technology).
- Using a cross-discipline approach is intended to be a strengthening of institutional capacity, human resources, management of natural resources, environmental management, conflict resolution and protection of Human Rights.
- Introducing and implementing development models appropriate for the government and civil society.
- Encourage and strengthen future leaders (from KTI) is capable of directing changes based on science.
- Actively encourage the exchange of knowledge through publications, seminars and workshops in order to improve the accessibility and usability of data and information available in the area (KTI).
